 In AMS(acute mountain sickness)from verge of death to complete recovery is very short phase of time. The right decision to move fast down to lower land is atmost important. That decision is God's gift. Praise the Almight 🤲🏽 I discontinued my ascending up the EBC  As my niece developed AMS at 4410m. Had to bring her down by helicopter. I went bcos of her. I have been there before n will go again. As I have been 11 times to Mt Kinabalu n nx year ,I will go again. I learned a life experience managing my niece in AMS In not by treating with medicine and pushing her further, But  Making the right decision at right time to come at control lower level as soon as possible with no time waste- AS THE MOUNTAIN IS ALWAYS THERE FOR US AND NOT THE LIFE. I would like to strongly vouch for the local program. However, I believe it's imperative to address two issues in a holistic manner. 1.There should be an increase in the number of trainers who have received adequate training in these subspecialties. It's evident that there is a pressing need to augment the number of trainers. I observed during my brief stints in two countries - in India, typically 2 or 3 trainers are assigned for each trainee in postgraduate and higher levels, whereas in the UK, in the district hospital of Cornwall, there were at least 6 to 8 consultant urologists with only 2 or 3 trainee registrars in urology. In Malaysia, there's no dispute about the quality of our training in General Surgery and Physician training; we have currently met and maintained the required standards. 40 years old is the beginning of trying to know yourself.  50 years old,u doubt u know yourself. 60 years old,u think u know yourself. 70 yesrs old, u may know yourself . 80 years old, u forget yourself. 90 years old, u may not be there to know yourself.  That is life of wisdom seeking in human living above decades of lives.

How many of us, as teenagers, had the responsibility of taking our ailing parents to the hospital for follow-ups? Perhaps, not that many.  I had to wait for hours with my stroke mom in the government clinic to see a doctor. Unfortunately, the busy doctor hardly spent a minute to see my mom although we spent half a day in the hospital for a consultation. During those challenging times, I made a personal vow: If I ever became a doctor, I pledged to arrive early at the clinic, devote extra time to my patients, and strive to ensure they left with smiles of satisfaction after our encounter. True to my commitment, I upheld this practice until the very last day of my career. I used to assist my adopted brother to deliver tiffin carrier meals to the first Malaysian state surgeon, Mr. Peter Vanasingham during his operation days. Witnessing him, blood-stained in his OT gown, receiving meals alongside junior doctors left a lasting impression on me. On that day, I resolved that if I pursued me...

 He is very dear to me. I met him more than 25 years back at BMCC. I was amazed by his power of memory and knowing the Bible by hard. He is my walking Bible to me. Any doubt in the Bible.I will refer to him. He will get me the verses faster than the computer, along with the meaning to the verses.  I understand from that day that Moses is very close to Lord Jesus Christ and a brother in Christ to me. From the time I first met him till the last day of his life of dearest brother in Christ, Moses. We keep in touch physically or virtually by social media. I am really devastated by his demise. But I believe he is with Lord Jesus happy and joyous. As he loved HIM very dearly, as everyday in his life he wont fail to mention or talk about Lord Jesus. I am going to miss him physically, though in spirit he is with me, as a sincere friend n a brother to me.

A very good evening to each and everyone here, Who were my team players in my journey as a surgeon. U all made my work as a surgeon n leader to be effortless, focused, and work as a team.  U all will be close to my heart and years to come a sweet memories.
