PITY COVID DOCTORS
It needs courage or pure exhaustion to write boldly the difficulties the doctors of the health ministry
having during this second wave secondary to politically activated. It is easy for senior doctors and especially the administrators to say doctors have to slog at demanding times. But they are most of the time at the conference or in the office room and not facing the onslaught of virus-like the front-liners.
Who are young medical personnel?
They have to stand against the virus day in day out.
However, most of them are contract doctors due to heavy workload at recent times even the trainee doctors expected to work indirectly. The higher authorities or ministry have done anything which will reduce the burden or stress of these doctors. The answer is no. As the standard reply, they will give no budget, no many rooms to spare, no food, and follow orders.
There are few medical personnel after their evening or night shift by the time they go back. There is no food to grab, as all eateries are closed by then due to MCO.
Do the higher authorities understand that. I don’t think so! They don’t have the will to listen or stand to higher authorities or ministry on it for the junior doctors. But they will be getting all the awards and recognition in the name of poor young front-liners who are working tirelessly. I hope this letter will open the eyes of higher authorities and the ministers involved to do what is due to medical personnel rather than going after rewards and politicking for self-gain in the name of front-liners,
