Glossophobia
Are the audiences watching me
Are they staring at me
Will they eat me
I am really scared
A very good day to my fellow toastmasters n dear guests
Don’t we have this feeling when we are called to give a speech π§
I exactly have that now!
Even though I have given umpteen number of speeches in my work life.
Why is it soπ§
I opine -It is Bcos of our self awareness and we want to be perfect.
How to overcome this fear of public speakingπ§
1.Master your self talk
Control the negative chatter of psyche and develop positive vibes of your talk in mental chatter
2.Interact with the audiences
Develop a two way communication rather than one way by getting the audiences participate in the speech.
3.Accept Flaws
No one is perfect and only the flaws in us will act like stepping stone to be a better speaker and at times give us the originality to our speech.
Bcos each one of us are unique and we have that beauty of expressing MY WAY which might be the best way at times.
4.Practice your speech
By running it in mind when the mind is ideal
Talking a loud when the space allows like during driving
Present to those who are similar minded like at the toastmasters club.
My dearest virtual audiences isn’t glossophobia is an illusion in us.
Yes it is!
As such can you all give me an applause for my talk.
Please my dear toastmasters ππ½ππ½
Thank You for letting me overcome my public speech and you too getting more confident after my talk.
