The Day Difference Between Western and South Asian Countries

The perplexing truth of Day in Western Countries and South East Asian Countries. 1. During summer, the sunsets so late at night that outside with sunshine, even at times 11 pm. 2. During winter, the sun neither rises nor sets.As such throughout the day it is dark. Whereas in Asian countries it is usually set at 7 pm and rises at 7am.So we get equal day n night. As such, it is really confusing to the mind, which is prepared for a 12-hour cycle of day and night , that one may get dejected n depressed by confusing the biological clock of the person (When one see the wall clock n outside brightness changes. It really confuses the mind). No wonder there are so many mental issues in Western countries. I can’t fathom how one can live in Western countries with so much variation of days in four seasons with stable minds.

The Canadian Road Trip

Mathi/Siva, The trip to Canada, though I planned for many years back. The actual planning started last year. It is more of I want to spend a quality time with u two. You two are my soulmate. The Canada road trip was the best to realise how close we are and the ability to adjust so well, though each of us has our own ways. The trip from Calgary to Toronto has given us more than what we expected on this trip. The beautiful and scene views, experience the local hospitality(thanks to Siva), the dilemma of life and family we come across, and most importantly, live through our college life at this age at Toronto compliment of Chandra. Besides catching up with the Pravin family.I really appreciate his effort to convince his family for a trip to Toronto to catch up with us.It was awesome to meet with his cheerful wife and wonderful grown children of him( I met his young family 12 years back in Malaysia). It was the second chance to meet his grown up family. I will cherish this for many ...

The Art Of Soul

The painting of the elephant ringing the bell is a gorgeous and well executed painting as to how I dreamt it to be.  Appa’s name on the base of the pillar is something that adds more sentiment to the painting.  Whenever I walk pass the painting I will just stand by a little while to have a gaze at it and admire the beauty of the painting. I surely can’t stop thanking the hands that prompted and carry though it excellently.  Pls convey my thanks to uncle Ravi. I owe a big thanks and bear hug to you uncle for fulfilling my desire to have this elephant painting which I casually told you while we were in Nepal.  This particular painting is very close to my heart and you made it more special when my pillar of strength- appa’s name is written at the pillar. This painting has etched a special place in my heart . 💛

My Dad,My Hero

My father is a good man, a stubborn man and a man I will never be half as good. He has the benefit of an education that was delivered by people who were truly motivated educators. He was exposed to poetry, he knows Latin and was an excellent scholar who studied more than one species while I struggled with only one.  He was a good son and a good father. These two roles I doubt I will ever be able to hold a candle to him. I am quite sure I never will. I accept that failure with grace. He has shown me what kindness and charity is, he showed what it was to be a gentleman before I learnt it from books. He showed me the joys of reading and encouraged the habit in me and I am forever grateful.  I may not be able to have long talks with him for we are often too strong headed and opinionated. But I do love him a lot and support him in his endeavours.  I have no demands of him other than he continue to be himself and happy. I apologise that he will probably not see any grand...
