How To Handle Current Knowledgeable Patient And Relatives

 My take at current times in practice of surgery.

U must be patient centred rather than doctor centred in ur treatment. 

As the knowledge n skill u gained for many years 

It is available in a click of mobile data by ordinary people.

As such, u should respect the info the patient has.

It is your duty to convince the patient of ur take in the disease n Mx.

At the same time,give sincere hearing to their info or ideas.

If they want 2nd opinion, let them have that if they ask to recommend - do recommend a doctor who u think will assist them.

But at times, there might be 2 ways to approach a problem. 

If u find ur approach is better, go according to it.

If they want the second way - u can refer to the dr who may do that.

Otherwise you bend ur principles if you find it is feasible by the second approach.Then do as the patient request if the patient n relatives agrees to it.

Finally, patients' satisfaction is a doctors priorities 🙇🏼‍♂️

I want to ask you few questions- MOH or Private

I want to ask you few questions... 1)  How you stayed back at MOH till retirement without considering private practice? Answer: If u love ur handwork and complete free from work when you are on vacation.At the sametime don't like to move around in the disguise of promotion n also not bothered of promotion. Beside most importantly considering government service as charity to community and training younger doctors to reach their dreams.
