Private Versus Government Hospital Treatment Pros & Cons
Is it the Dr's fault or the fault of the system?
1. It is systems fault!
As everyone knows, there is something not right.
But they all are willing to continue with it bcos the system works fine, though there is some grumbling ππ½♂️
Or
2.No one's at fault.
It's always just the demand and supply problem.
With better dissemination of informations and knowledges, patients now know their options. With that, demands increases. Hence supplies follow.
Malaysia posses a extra set of problem, as there's one hand (government sector) trying to still cater for affordable healthcare to all, and on the other hand the private industry trying to meet the demands of certain cohort of individuals. The bottomline is, the patients need to understand this simple set of rules in life-balance: Fast, Cheap, Good
-Fast and Cheap: Not good (general private clinics where they touch and go, settle simple ailments)
-Fast and Good: Not cheap (private hospitals where you seen by a experience private specialist with limited patient load)
-Cheap and Good: Not fast (government hospital with good and experience specialist, but the workload can't allow the service to be fast)
If we wanna achieve Fast+Cheap+Good, that's by running all government hospitals like how private operates, where the human-resource, consumables and operational costs bear by government will skyrocket, which can only be done by extreme level of taxation (which again, no Malaysian will agree with it.
As everyone wants change but no one is willing to change. It's the balance of the public need to be informed. And Malaysian got to have a correct mentality. We gauge the choice based on our ability; comparison is always the leading cause of dissatisfaction.
