Religion can be broken down into many elements, including:

Beliefs: How a person views the world

Mythology: Supernatural and sacred concepts

Practices: Repeated activities

Social organization: A religious community

Rituals: A meaningful ritual in a religion

Ethics: A rule from a religion that a person is supposed to follow

Emotional experiences: An emotional religious experience

Material expression: An item used in a religion

Sacredness: A sacred place associated with a religion

Cosmology: A part of religion

Belief in the supernatural: A part of religion

Scholar Ninian Smart argued in his book Dimensions of the Sacred: An Anatomy of the World's Beliefs that religion has seven elements: ritual, mythological, doctrinal, ethical, experiential, social, and material.

Kantian ethics is a deontological ethical theory that was developed by German philosopher Immanuel Kant. It's based on the idea that actions are morally right if they are done out of a sense of duty and if the guiding principle of the action can be applied universally.

Here are some core ideas of Kantian ethics:

Respect people: Humans are worthy of respect and should not be treated as objects.

Act out of duty: Actions should be done out of respect for the moral law, which is known as the Categorical Imperative.

Be rational: We should act only in accordance with maxims that can be universalized.

Be an end in yourself: Humans are their own ends and have the ability to set their own goals.

Kantian ethics can be applied to many different situations, including business ethics and the use of artificial intelligence and robotics. For example, a Kantian would likely say that it is wrong to lie to a customer to get them to buy a product.
