Be Careful ,What You Wish For

It is a strange world we wish for happiness, but we succumb to misery. Let me tell you a real-life story that I experienced recently. I was thinking like most of us do. If I had a million in my bank account,I will be the most happiest person. Untill recently, I encountered an acquaintance who was in misery in spite of having the millions. He was disturbed by his mental chatter of many wavering thoughts and lost his happiness. Here ,I was, and many of us thinking materialistic possessions will bring happiness. I learnt from this individual that possession doesn't bring happiness and peace. It is the contentment and seeking the Infinite that brings happiness to the one. Besides, it is by giving and sharing to less fortunate, which increases the happy hormones which radiate the positive energy in us and others we come across. As such, it is good to have materialistic wishes within the joined palm of the hand that it is within our control and it doesn't cause misery. Be contented ...

Life's Lesson - Destination is valueless, once the journey is completed

The other day me , my niece and grand-niece decided to go for a hike at a nearby hill. As such, we planned a week ago our destiny to reach the peak of the hill near the telecom tower at a fencing behind it. My grand-niece was very excited about the destiny without giving much consideration to the journey. My niece and I decided to hike a trek, which is a challenging trek to the destiny. So we decided the trek duration must be a round 5 hours, not well-throdden, and must be a shady route from the emitting heat of the sun. However, on the day of hiking ,we couldn't start in time because the other hiker ,who is familiar with the trek, was unable to come. So we decided to ascend by ourselves. The trek we planned to hike was missing at certain sections from fallen trees and plants due to rain a few days back. Besides, the path was muddy and slippery in certain paths of our route. It was also very hot because there was no shade due to fallen trees exposing the path to 12 noon sun, and we ...

Careful planning For the millions of people who retire each year, stopping work might seem like a well-deserved break. But it can also precipitate big changes in brain health, including an increased risk of cognitive decline and depression. Before retiring, you’re getting up in the morning, socialising with co-workers and dealing with the mental challenges of your job, said Ross Andel, a professor at Arizona State University who studies cognitive ageing and retirement. “All of a sudden, after 50 years, you lose that routine.” " There’s this idea that the body and brain adapt when they’re “no longer needed,” he added. “That’s when you see the deterioration and its natural response to inactivity.” But retirement can also be an opportunity for improving cognitive and mental health, with newfound time to so...

The Perceptions Of Truth

Each one of these individuals have a unique view point of the same eternal reality… called God! To say each is unique is because Truth transcendental beyond finite and such perception of infinite with finite senses and mind makes perceptions different.  To illustrate with an example is the perception of an elephant by 4 blind men. One touching the leg said the elephant is like a tree! The other man touching the trunk said the elephant is like snake! The third man the elephant is a fan touching the eyes! So you see each one thinks Truth as he sees but the whole elephant is beyond their comprehension !
