Thank u for the high trust and belief in me and my ability.

U r not the 1st one asking to take this big responsibility.

Dato Sri Dr.Devaraj, the famous physician,who was 1st head of Pggh medical department.

Later, he was heading and running Hospis,Penang, which were taking care of advanced cancer patients in their own homes.

A few days after my retirement called me, he requested me to takeover and lead the service since he is already 98 yrs old and wants to retire as he can't be active anymore.

I was so honoured as he was one of the doctors who I looked high during my childhood. Who was my inspiration to become a doctor to serve the sick.

Of course, I declined it, too. As I stand on my principle that I have served my best as a surgeon to the community and I must not be attached and know my service to work expiry date.

Dato Devaraj understood my wishes and my dream.He told me how he wished he had earlier the idea of experiencing life like me when I said I want to be an adventurer and a traveller as my new career.

Let me tell you,till today, he will keep in touch with me by WhatsApp and admire my adventure sports of hiking and my scuba diving chat with him.

I do not have much time left for me after many years of being a surgeon. My lifetime so far was controlled by an organisation,family ambition, and service to society.

Only now I have my own time to do what I dreamed as a childhood of reading, training for my adventure sports,play games, spend time with my pets, take a breath with my plants and most importantly delving into spiritualism in seeking the Infinite which guided me all my life now and beyond.

I conclude by my obeisance to both of you and the great patient centred physician who I hold at highest esteem for the trust and belief in my work ethic but respecting my journey in my life.

I want to ask you few questions- MOH or Private

I want to ask you few questions... 1)  How you stayed back at MOH till retirement without considering private practice? Answer: If u love ur handwork and complete free from work when you are on vacation.At the sametime don't like to move around in the disguise of promotion n also not bothered of promotion. Beside most importantly considering government service as charity to community and training younger doctors to reach their dreams.
