Hot Summer Heat
You know, it is so hot lately.
As I was gardening today, I realized the heat of the sun was even transmitted through the plant branches I touched. Beyond just the metal scissors I used for pruning—which I left in the sun for a few minutes and found they had become as hot as an iron rod—the heat was everywhere.
It made me realize the greatness of the Infinite. We humans must hide in the shade, unaware of the vigorous sun that could destroy us if God willed it. I felt the true fragility of humans and the mercy of God.
Most importantly, I thought of the agriculturists working the ground and the plants themselves, taking the heat on our behalf and protecting us. Yet, humans often don't know the value of it and keep destroying it.
