Today marks my last day in the department. I have so many things to convey to you especially, over the short cause of duration i have served my time in the department, you touched our souls multiple times with how you do certain things, you keep your routine very closely to heart, and you keep them with integrity. I really look up to those qualities.  For the most part, thank you for sharing the burden. When i first came to you and told you about what i went through in entirety, i felt as if a very big and heavy boulder was lifted off of my weak shoulders. Your quick thinking in grasping the situation and wisdom in handling it with absolute experience, has actually saved my future. You just saved a life.  I hope i am able to keep reading Dr Kanika’s entries in the web. Keep the ink and pen flowing.  Take care.  Why 8/7 so desperate with even 10 surgeons. I am perplexed around 9 surgeons. Not one can do! That an old n going to retire surgeon ,still must come to help. It is not ,I don't want to do call ,I am a bit taken back ,there is,around 9 excluding me n can't do. If you had told me ,Mr Naga ,you are going to retire.I give you a  chance to do active call. I would have agreed  the 1st time itself.  I was surprised n just thought after I retired. How will the department will run and their cooperation will be.In spite from one surgeon hospital, I have increased to 10 surgeon hospital. It is not inconvenience.But I came to picture of the work understanding in future without me. Also made me reminiscent of my past experience from the current situation.Of course, as a head of department.I absorb the impact by sacrificing my comfort many a times if this kind of situation comes and  if I find all  are genuinely committed. I remember every time this kind of situation ...

It is time for me to pull out from my active work. It was the right trigger n reminder to do so. As such, I came out of guiding for MRCS, which I have been doing for many years.  Besides, there are many other specialists I have trained to take over the work.   So don’t annoy them too.As they may not be as patients as I am to teach as long as I did. It is not ur fault. It is the situation for me to come out of my passionate responsibilities, which u created.  Wish u n the rest of the candidates the best in the journey of your career . U do what u r passionate.  When time comes, leave and start doing what the small little dream of childhood which unable to do so.😍

It was a long overdue trip planned with my college friends who currently reside in the UK. My friend Siva who has  many relatives in Canada always invited me to travel Canada with him. However, with my busy work schedule and the Covid pandemic I kept postponing the trip.  This year, I decided to accept his invitation and go for it as we were all reaching our 60s and weren't sure if we could make it in the future. So in May this year, we agreed to make a boys' trip. I took the opportunity to convince my other friend, Mathi to follow us. Siva, quickly booked a budget flight ticket to Canada for the three of us. The application for Canadian visa in Malaysia was a herculean task for me at this age. They had so many online forms to fill up with many subsections requiring lots of personal information to be uploaded online with not much help from the agency or embassy for verification. As such, I had to make few trips to Kuala Lumpur to their appointed agency for clarification which ...

  The perplexing truth of Day in Western Countries and South East Asian Countries. 1. During summer, the sunsets so late at night that outside with sunshine, even at times 11 pm. 2. During winter, the sun neither rises nor sets.As such throughout the day it is dark. Whereas in Asian countries it is usually set at 7 pm and rises at 7am.So we get equal day n night. As such, it is really confusing to the mind, which is prepared for a 12-hour cycle of day and night , that one may get dejected n depressed by confusing the biological clock of the person (When one see the wall clock n outside brightness changes.It really confuses the mind). No wonder there are so many mental issues in Western countries. I can’t fathom how one can live in Western countries with so much variation of days in four seasons with stable minds.

 Mathi/Siva, The trip to Canada, though I planned for many years back. The actual planning started last year. It is more of I want to spend a quality time with u two. You two are my soulmate. The Canada road trip was the best to realise how close we are and the ability to adjust so well, though each of us has our own ways. The trip from Calgary to Toronto has given us more than what we expected on this trip. The beautiful and scene views,experience the local hospitality(thanks to Siva), the dilemma of life and family we come across, and most importantly, live through our college life at this age at Toronto compliment of Chandra. Besides catching up with the Pravin family.I really appreciate his effort to convince his family for a trip to Toronto to catch up with us.It was awesome to meet with his cheerful wife and wonderful grown children of him( I met his young family 12 years back in Malaysia).It was the second chance to meet his grown up family.
