Now if we show the picture of my current age that is late 50’s to that 5 years old boy of mine and  ask him: Does he knows this old man in the picture  The small boy of mine will tell: I DON’T KNOW HIM I AM SCARED SEEING THIS SCARY MAN MUMMY MUMMY COME! I took the beating of life. I am what I am. A wise and mellowed man Waiting for the tide to take me. Meantime surfing on it, having jolly ride as time permits. Traditional Respect And Civic Consciousness

We all fall to either one of the above in our daily routine life. It is an important virtue in community living to practice traditional respect or civic consciousness. Asians generally who are deep-rooted in traditions , cultures  and religions are immersed in the practice of traditional respect. A tradition might be about a display of respect, about good manners, which when employed ensures communities are pleasant places to live in. Saying please and thank you, not only to friends but also to family, whose support we should never take for granted, is always important. At times it is blindly practiced to the extent the person being respected doesn’t deserve it. Even there are times, it is practiced to the extent the work process is delayed. Besides the one who being rendered the respect takes advantage of the giver.   So traditions can be either inhibiting or liberating. This is entirely dependent on your outlook or attitude. However civic consciousness which is practiced by ...

SO WHAT

My personal nurse was taking my blood pressure one morning at my house recently. At that time I answered a work call that came in. My personal nurse ....... who is my wife🤣 Was shocked to see my shooting BP during that stressful conversation. ContestChair, fellow toastmasters, and my dear guests. Just a Blood Pressure, u might think.....What a fuss about it. Yes, l learned that day,.... never take things seriously. Bcos the moment u take things seriously. Our body responds by disrupting its Milieu intérieur which is the bodily fluids regarded as an internal environment in which the cells of the body are nourished and maintained in a state of equilibrium which can lead to adverse consequences in us. I always have a normal BP. However, due to my stressful tête-à-tête, my BP shot sky-high. However after ten minutes of rest and calming down the blood pressure reading was perfectly normal, which brought a big and happy smile from my loving and concerned wife. So I learned from that day nev...

PITY COVID DOCTORS

It needs courage or pure exhaustion to write boldly the difficulties the doctors of the health ministry  having during this second wave secondary to politically activated. It is easy for senior doctors and especially the administrators to say doctors have to slog at demanding times. But they are most of the time at the conference or in the office room and not facing the onslaught of virus-like the front-liners.  Who are young medical personnel?  They have to stand against the virus day in day out.  However, most of them are contract doctors due to heavy workload at recent times even the trainee doctors expected to work indirectly. The higher authorities or ministry have done anything which will reduce the burden or stress of these doctors. The answer is no. As the standard reply, they will give no budget, no many rooms to spare, no food, and follow orders.  There are few medical personnel after their evening or night shift by the time they go back. There is no f...

WHO CAN ARGUE WITH THIS PHILOSOPHY

Truly beautiful. Do read to the end.  (Author not known)         WHO CAN ARGUE WITH THIS PHILOSOPHY We never get what we want, We never want what we get, We never have what we like, We never like what we have. And still we live & love. That's life...   The best kind of friends, Is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, Never say a word, And then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.   It's true that we don't know What we've got until it's gone, But it's also true that we don't know What we've been missing until it arrives.   Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; Just wait for it to grow in their heart, But if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, An hour to like someone, And a day to love someone, But it takes a lifetime to forget someone. Don't go for looks; they can d...
