On Going National Dilemma

People are selfish because they are brought up in that way as they were by their parents, in a self perpetuating society with scant interest in ethics, morals and spirituality(not parochial religions). We are witness to this worldwide phenomena.  People grew up on beliefs that get an education at any cost , get a job , accumulate wealth at any cost and enjoy a sensual life at any cost without any regards (besides oneself) to one’s parents, family, community, country and the environment! Globally we notice this state of affairs everywhere! In India, China, USA and the West! Malaysia is not an exception! We the pathetic products of our upbringing exhibit only selfishness and sensuality.  In this state of self interest and sensual enjoyment our mind is deprived of any moral bearings. As a result we elect and adore leaders who are morally bankrupt! The recent and continuing political dramas that are being staged in the wonderful land of Malaysia is the outcome of a morally ...

Why Hindus Can't Eat Beef

As I know why hindu won't eat meat 1.Religious obligation 2.Cow basically part of life of hindu living as it ploughs the land, it gives milk n it is a pet 3.In Hinduism it takes a form of pet of Siva and favoured animal 4.Sanatana Dharma which is Hinduism is a branch believe in all live have Consciousnesses within which is part of Pure Consciousnesses which all conscious are one.As such we cant sacrifice or kill any living orgasim -Ahimsa. So we suppose to do self Sadhana of tapa by sacrificing ourself by fasting and penance rather than taking any life. In that ideology of Santana Dharma which Hinduism is based- so be cow or living animal we can kill  for consumption.  I am sharing what little knowledge I have on spiritualism and of Existence in thr form of Consciousnesses . 🙏🏽🤲🏼🙇🏽‍♂️

The Highest Form Of Power Is Detachment

How you dealt with toxic narcisisstic colleague during your career time? I too was an egoistic surgeon at younger time but I generally try not to hurt or look down on my peer working colleagues.  I expected the same from my working colleagues but unfortunately in surgical working field, we may get one or two, who can be very mean. I  generally believed in working as a team and peers as an advantage to me because, if not I had to do the job as a single surgeon which is much more stressful. Beside my mentor, Mr Ismail had told me that never threaten or scare another surgeon away from working as a team, if not the burden of work will be doubled. So I try, my level best to work within my own boundaries and that,it doesn't clash with the other surgeon. However in spite of all my efforts if I have still burdensome peer working surgeon. Then I maintained an imaginary  working circle around me. If anyone enters that circle,  I will express my displeasure to the individual or ...

Smartphone And Youngsters At Current Times

MY OBSERVATIONS  I want to share my few experiences in the gym today. It is though funny to me but a good point to ponder of current world. As it looks like I am or we are in a new world. First I saw one young guy spending nearly 3 hrs in gym or more in fact. However almost 2 n half hrs or more on the smartphone rather than exercising. The reason I said that bcos  in a set of anabolic muscle exercise,we do three raps for each set of exercise or maximum can go upto five raps. Before each raps, he is on the phone for almost 15 to 20 minutes. I am sure he is going to tell his friends and family he was 4hrs in gym but hardly doing any proper exercise even for  1/2 hr for the duration of time he spent in gym. The second observation was I  saw most of the youngsters at the gym are with their mobiles while exercising. At every five or ten minutes of their exercise they revert to the mobile. It looks like a trend of current generation, smartphone becomes their almost i...

The Quandary Of Old Parents/Children's Relationship

If you expect your children to take care of you just because you took care of them when they were young,   then that is the wrong concept and the wrong expectation. You took care of your children because you chose to bring them into this world. That was your responsibility, not theirs.   Because of that, children are not obligated to take care of you. To expect that is to treat it like a business deal. Children will only take care of you if, while they were growing up, you instilled in them good character, morality, spirituality, love, and most importantly, humanity.   Then, they will take care of you not out of duty, but if they truly want to — out of agape love. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 Unfortunately many parents have exactly this kind of conversation with their children.Nags, there is saying "children come through us not for us".When they become adults they belong to their spouses or just distant relatives like others. The sooner we rea...

Yester Years Skilled Medical Officers

I still vividly remember almost four decades ago,I reported as a junior medical officer in the department of surgery in Penang General Hospital.  During early 90's there was ony one state surgeon who is on call for 365 days and working round the clock. We all know the surgeon with all his effort can't treat all the loads of patients coming to government Hospital. As such the medical officer is promoted to registrar and he carries the burden of treating the other patients which the specialist can't cope. During that time we had a wonderful  sr medical officer who was our registrar of surgery in surgical department, who could do all types of surgery as good as the surgeon. In fact we honed our  surgical skill from him rather than the specialist.Beside he will guide us patiently through the operation, even if takes hours for us to complete. Though we learned most of our skills from him and later we sat for our postgraduate fellowship exams and we passsed to continue our career...

The Upbeat Shifts With Generations

Today I was listening to tamil songs while working out at the gym.I born in the generation of baby boomer more use to songs with lyrics, melody and minimal background music. As I was shuffling the songs between silent generation to current alpha generation. I was reflecting on the song preference change from silent generation to current alpha generation. It actually made me realise each generation as their liking of songs according to their generations. The silent generation songs are slow more focused on meaning of the lyrics of song with basic music at background.I assume this generation required more motivation to live and survive their daily life. The next baby boomer generation songs have good lyrics with meaning ,slightly fast mode with shallow background music to give a boast to the song. The millennial and Z generation as a fast lyrics with little meaning to the song with number of musics accompanies the songs. However the current alpha generation songs there is no mea...

Pet Bereavement.

Request:- We have decided not to have pets anymore.  Everyone sad at home as Lucky has been with us for past 15 years.  Regards Reply:- Give time and think it over,as give time those grieving to come to understand the reality of life cycle   During grieving phase the emotion will be topsy turvy and roller coaster effect.  Let them settle with time to the lost of the pet. I opine your wife need a good companion at current times with retirement and spending time home alone. If a pet died suddenly at younger age that grieving and pain is a different matter. I agree getting another one to soon will cause unnecessary anxiety.  However Lucky is a ur family member As such we human had accepted it has our part of family. It is bcos of the agape love they give us n in return don't expect anything from us. However with a clause that they will live with us for around 10 to 12 yrs. Your Lucky had stayed much longer even with it's painful old age; as much it can w...

Existence Presence I Saw Today

There is an elder nun who is very fond of me. Whenever her small garden of durian, rambutan, and pineapple is in season, she insists that I come and collect a few fruits.   This has gone on for many years. I always make an attempt to take them from her, and I do so with joy, because of her sincere heart to share what she has.   At the same time, it rekindles memories of a wonderful, late, and extremely old nun named Sister Felicia, who was my godmother.   Well, today as usual, the nun told me to collect the rambutans.   At the agreed time, I arrived at the gate where she would promptly come to pass them to me with a cheerful smile before I left.   However, this time I had to wait more than 45 minutes, and after a few calls and messages, she didn’t turn up. As I was about to drive away, I saw a vague figure in my rearview mirror.   So I turned back to her gate. I saw her standing under the shade of the rambutan tree, asking me t...

Dive Trip To Komodo Island,Labuan Bajo

It was decided after a deep thought of the trip since need to dig deep into the pocket. It was a liveaboard dive trip! We booked a four day trip.We had seven of us in the group.  We took a fligt from Kuala Lumpur to  Labuan Bajo.It was around a 4-hrs flight. Labuan Bajo is a fishing town located at the western end of the large island of Flores in the East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. It is in Komodo District. It is the capital of the West Manggarai Regency, one of the eight regencies on Flores Island. We stayed near to dive centre at the town with many seafood stalls n very friendly people. Meantime dive instructor Ben arranged the  necessary dive gears and permits for dive at that region. The day of dive trip.We were taken from jetty by speed boat to our stay in boat for next four days.It was a wooden boat with compact rooms with dive platform. The first day we did 3 dives of which afternoon, evening and night dive. It was good visibility underwater. We saw so many ...

A Story: The Ship, The Silence, The Mending

He was a man of principle. A family man. Wisdom and virtue weren’t quotes - they were his daily breath.   Four anchors held him:   1. Hear both sides before judging.   2. Let reason, not emotion, steer.   3. Don’t let a third voice decide for two hearts.   4. Love your neighbor as yourself.   Marriage brought storms. Annoyance, hurt, misunderstanding - waves, not wrecks.   When they came, he didn’t point. He went home, prayed, reflected, realigned. That was his ritual for decades.   He learned this: if someone grips a hot iron rod and cries “It burns!”, no one can open their hand for them. Release comes only from within.   Adversity taught him. Each hard season pushed him inward, closer to the spiritual realm.   He believed Lord Jesus Christ always opened a new path when the old one closed. For that he was grateful. Even grateful to her - her pain became his doorway to Truth. Between them...

Spiritual Wisdom

1.It is said 'The love of the flower that turned the caterpillar into the butterfly. The love of Existence, one becomes that butterfly. 2.Freedom  is where silence meets the beauty of the blissful deep ocean.   3.We are a walking ocean, Our body consist of 80% water n 20% of minerals n matter. As search we are the replica of nature and ocean. 4.  Humans are harmful towards other animals, a s they kill for fun. However other animals kill for food and survival. 5.  The one  who dives deep into the sea alone gets the pearls, not the one who dives only up to the depth of his ability.  6.Formerly,I venerated  you,but now cannot live with you,Truth. 7.You do what is within ur means, Each individual dream's are different,  So pursue ur dream n not neighbours. Life will be blissful. 8.Metaphor :- Clown Fish commonest in ocean, like appendix in surgical training. Both doesn't bore the seeker. 9. Where thoughts are slave, one don't need a chain. 10. A...

Religious Discourse- Vedic Religion

Sanatana Dharma encompasses every aspect all regions.anatanaIt is Eternal pathway by cosmic guidance to Truth. However Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism is monastic religion which aspect one to seek oneself the divine  Truth with complete surrender of Ego which may need a guru. Hinduism is Sanatana Dharma plus the rituals and practices at times there is Ego and identity attached to it. To me in my own extensive intellectual spiritual journey,  I realise all religions in the world is originated from the Sanatana Dharma  The roots of Sanatana Dharma is very deep and strong  Only few want to seek the jnana and experience the Existence.  Rest of us which 99.9 % just want to believe, practice and identity with the religion with prayer and protection of the Unknown.  🙇🏽‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️ Hinduism- one can't convert anyone. As that religion one should be born in bcos it is monistic and u find God wi...

My Strenuous 2nd EBC Trekking Champa Devi Trail Hike It is a warm hike trek for EBC circuit trek. Max. Elevation: 2,278 m. Hike Distance: 10 km Two Way Distance. It is one of the few hills which is more than 2000 m surround the Kathmandu valley. The ancient Champa Devi Temple, a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists, lies at the summit. *Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and even Everest are visible on clear days, offering stunning panoramic views. *The hike passes through vibrant rhododendron and pine forests, teeming with birds like eagles and pheasants. *Prayer flags, stupas, and traditional Newari villages mark the cultural landmarks along the trail. The trail features gentle paths with picnic spots near the summit, making it ideal for families. I have covered so for 3 of it ,still there is another 2 to 3 more to go. Perhaps in future ,I will do time n body strength allows. Yesterday, we started at 8am n completed at 5pm. I able to complete it but when walking down nearing the base of the hill- hip pain secondary to ITBS troubled me slightly but it was thrilling to walk at much slower pace with the joy of pain.😅
